By the time I have sent $ to the IRS, another $ to student loans( no tax break on those ) and other loans taken during my medical school/ residency years( had to help support my family you know ) there is not as much left as you may think. I spent ~ 14 years pursuing my medical education , years during which I made little or no money. If you take those years into account and spread my current income over those years....Hey, who knows, I may get a tax break !!
Being born and raised in Sweden I know quite a bit about "spreading the wealth" . It doesn't work. There has to be an incentive to pursue further education. Socialist countries like Sweden suffer under a huge, unbelievable expensive, welfare machine . The people funding this monster are leaving for places like the US where you are still allowed to be successful.
